My week in NYC was most successful. So far I enjoy my new job. I learned a ton of stuff and made some nice friends. Tomorrow I start in the Boston office.
The only downside to the trip was getting home. My flight was delayed for two and half hours. Yuck.

I’d write in paragraph form, but my brain is goo right now.
-Paperwork for my apartment is all set. I’ll be moved in by the 1st of November.
-I have started my climb out of debt.
-The Light is Seeping Through the Cracks is on iTunes.
-I saw Jackass 2.
-I went to Ikea for the first time.
-anappaday.com is a cool site.
-I bought a TV for the new apartment.
-I don’t mind dressing up for work as much as I thought I would.

Out My Hotel Window

So I’m in NYC. I’m still recooping from Monday. I had to be up stoopid early to catch my flight and stayed out stoopid late to hang with some friends. On Tuesday I was in bed by 8. Tonight I’m staying in as well. I’ll probably watch the some playoff baseball for a bit and get some grub. Weather permitting I hope to get down to work (Wall Street) early tomorrow to take some pics. I have yet to do the tourist thing yet, however it’s not like I haven’t been here before. Tomorrow night I want to go see Minus the Bear play at Irving Plaza. If it’s sold out by the time I get there, I’ll go see Jackass 2 instead. A plane crashed into a building today. Weird.

Evan the kid who did the Carousel video for Harris released the trailer to his latest project. Assy McGee.

onburnandalazyeyelid.jpgFast Recap of what has been happening:
New Job.
New Apartment.
No Sideburns.
Played with Harvey Danger on Friday.
Got to hang out with Jess U, see Braden and get suprise Chelsea time.
Spent a lot of money on clothes.
Little to no picture taking.

I’m trading my sideburns for a paycheck.
I start my new job tomorrow in Manhattan. After a week of training in NYC I’ll be working primarily in and around Boston.

I have been doing a poor job keeping up with my picture taking. I have been scrambling for grown up clothes and finding an apartment. On top of that I have been feeling a bit sick. I don’t know if it’s nerves, lonlieness, or me just being sick. Regardless, my financial woes should be coming to an end by next week and the doldrums of Plymouth living will be over come November.

Braden

I like the band Braden. Check them out. They seem to be playing music because they enjoy playing music. It helps that actually know how to play their instruments too. I’m not gushing purely because I know one of the members (Jamie Mcmullen). I have openly told friends I don’t like their bands before.

If I had to relate them to a bigger more established band I’d say they sound like Stars or Straylight Run, but that doesn’t do them justice.
They’re playing this Friday night (10/6/06) in Providence. I’m excited that I don’t have a show that night and plan on attending. You should go too.
